OUR STORY
Positively Squared Away was born out of the intersection of my teenagers becoming more independent and me needing to keep busy. As a lifelong over-researcher with a background in tech and digital marketing, I stumbled into an online space that was both missing helpful information altogether or full of terrible advice.
So I dug in and spent days and nights researching the transition from high school to college. I was studying harder than AP students. Interviewing parents and students. Reading mountains of online questions and the answers - some good, some absolutely head-scratching. This has been going on daily since 2021.
Today, I still research and test products everyday while also writing and publishing new articles. And the other waking hours are spent managing one very busy Facebook Dorm Shopping Recommendations Facebook Group and attempting to answer every question posted.

One thing you learn from years of researching and becoming an expert in college dorms and college life is what people are looking for and where the gaps are in the market.
This storefront, launched in June 2024, is our first step into creating solutions to fit the needs of today’s college students. We hope you find some items that you love and will support our small business made up of myself and a handful of very helpful college students gaining experience for their jobs after college.
We’re starting with digital products but are busy working on some physical products to meet the exact needs of dorm room residents.
